Travertine is very slippery in wet conditions. It's not recommended for use in the bathroom, pool, and laundry room. However, tumbled travertine is one of the best materials to use in a pool, patio, and driveways area. Due to its porous surface, it's able to absorb water leaving the surface nonslippery.
