In 1944, EMILIO STECHER, born in Grisons, realized his vision of becoming a freelance mason. He used the opportunity in Lucerne to acquire the Steinhauer business JW Füllemann, which struggled with succession problems. Connected with the purchase was a contract for mining rights in the quarry Wiesweid am Rooterberg. The extraction of natural stone always has something to do with natural resources.

EMILIO STECHER AG procures every stone in this world, but not at any price. Finally, the finished product should be payable, fulfill its purpose and give pleasure. Whether the raw material comes from the company's own quarry on the Rooterberg or from somewhere, the company Stecher ensures that nature does not suffer damage and that the people involved in the value added process have a fair income.
