How important is a Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) number to a young startup?
Is it wise to get a number, or to pay the hundreds of dollars to get the additional verification? The number is requested on various business credit applications (Apple, Verizon, etc.), but it seems to be optional and it is difficult to tell if having it would actually help in securing credit.
