La Romana contains the production centre where the processing of the Crema Marfil starts. The blocks are carried from the quarry on trucks adapted for transporting this type of material. The marble blocks are of very considerable volume and weight and require important safety measures when loading in the quarry, during transport and while unloading at the factory.
