The quarrying process begins with the removal of the overburden, which is the layer of soil and rock that covers the travertine deposits. Once the overburden is removed, workers use heavy machinery to extract large blocks of stone from the quarry walls. These blocks are then transported to processing facilities, where they are cut, polished, and finished into tiles or other stone products. We have large capacity of cut to size tiles in our own factory in Tehran (MGT STONE FACTORY). Overall, the Marjan Silver Travertine quarry in Miandoab is a significant source of high-quality natural stone, and the operators are committed to sustainable practices to minimize the impact on the environment.
