Flexible stone veneer is made from a thin layer of stone stripped or peeled from a metamorphic, sedimentary stone (Slate, Sandstone or Marble).Thin veneers (from .5mm to 2mm thick) are pulled away from the original thicker stone slabs by adhering a thin layer of polyester resin composite backing. When the resins cure the composite is 'pulled' away from taking with it the thin layer of stone.
Thickness vary between 1-3 mm.
Available in two standard size:- 60x120 cm, 120x240 cm.
It is used for both interior and exterior and especially where bending to a curved
surface is required.
Can be applied on various surfaces like concrete wall with or without plaster,
masonry, metal, plyboard, wallboard, acrylic sheet etc.
Applications of flexible stone veneers include walls, doors, ceilings, columns,
furniture, backsplashes, lightweight signages.
Depending on the application surface and area suitable adhesive is selected.
Various adhesive being used are superflex eco, bondmaster, araldite, fevicol.
